Article 1

The position to be adopted by the European Union in the Association Council established by the Euro-Mediterranean Agreement concluded between the European Community and its Member States, of the one part, and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, of the other part, on the implementation of Article 98 of the Agreement shall be based on the draft Decision of the Association Council annexed to this Decision.

Article 2

The Subcommittee shall be composed of representatives of the European Union and its Member States and representatives of the Government of People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. It shall be chaired alternately by the two Parties. A representative of the European External Action Service shall chair the Subcommittee on behalf of the European Union. The European Commission shall take part within its remit. The Member States shall be informed of the Subcommittee’s meetings and invited to attend.
