Raadgevende comités

Dit type comitologie-comité¹ brengt niet-bindende adviezen uit over voorgestelde implementatiemaatregelen van de Europese Commissie². Volgens de raadplegingsprocedure³ dient de Commissie rekening te houden met deze adviezen, maar is ze er niet aan gebonden. Deze procedure wordt vooral gebruikt wanneer het onderwerp politiek niet erg gevoelig ligt.

Net als de andere comitologie-comités, bestaan regelgevende comités uit nationale experts en worden ze voorgezeten door een vertegenwoordiger van de Europese Commissie

  Dit type comités van de Europese Unie worden in het leven geroepen om de Europese Commissie bij te staan bij de implementatie van Europese regelgeving. De comitologie-comités bestaan uit nationale overheidsexperts. Dat kunnen ambtenaren zijn, of experts afgevaardigd namens een lidstaat. Ze worden voorgezeten door een ambtenaar van de Europese Commissie. Als we het over deze groep van comités hebben, spreken we ook wel van 'comitologie'.

  The European Commission is the executive body of the EU and runs its day-to-day business. It is made up of the College of Commissioners, 27 European Commissioners, one for each member state, who are each responsible for one or several policy areas. In addition, the 'Commission' also refers to the entire administrative body that supports the Commissioners, consisting of the Directorates-General and the Services.

  The consultation procedure for implementing acts is one the procedures used to establish secondary legislation. The Commission may be granted the mandate to establish implementing acts, but only if primary legislation allows for it and only within the boundaries set by the primary legislation.
