Role of Dutch party think tanks on the agenda setting of political parties - Main contents

In 2012 the Montesquieu Institutes facilitated a research project conducted by Arco Timmermans (research director i MI) and Gerrit Voerman (director Dutch Documentation Centre for Political Parties i).

Aim of this Dutch project was to analyze the role of Dutch political party think tanks on the agenda setting of the subsequent political party. To what extent are these think tanks able to exert their ideas and visions on the official party programme?
