EU staff strike over budget cuts - Main contents

Between 3,000 and 4,000 EU civil servants went on strike on Wednesday to protest against possible EU budget cuts. As leaders convene for the budget summit, some want deep cuts in administrative spending by laying off civil servants, introducing new taxes and hiking the pension age to 65 .
