Politics Cafe: Children's Rights

On the third Thursday of the month scientists, journalists and politicians gather to informally speak about world affairs and the latest news. During this event - named Politics Cafe - the public is free to participate in the discussions while enjoying a beverage.

This month's Politics Cafe discussed children's rights in response to the Annual Report for Children 2014 UNICEF Netherlands and Defence for Children, which stated that the Dutch government is violating the UN convention on children's rights. The government is doing too little against poverty and child abuse and discriminates against children of asylum seekers.

Please note that this event was be held in Dutch. For further information we kindly refer you to the Dutch version of our website by clicking on 'Nederlands' in the right upper corner of this page.
