In 2015, the Montesquieu Institute published a new volume called "Het 'probleem' Eerste Kamer: Visies op de toekomstige rol van de Senaat."

This fifth volume of the Montesquieu Sequence explores the pros and the cons of a bicameral democracy, particularly focussing on the Dutch senate. It covers alternatives to a bicameral system, the role of the senate in the formation of a cabinet, and the senate's voting behaviour.
