-Parliament will debate the latest developments in Greece with Donald Tusk2 and Jean-Claude Juncker3 on Tuesday afternoon.

-Parliament’s Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) resolution will be put to vote for the second time (Wednesday 8 July).

-MEPs will review the outgoing Latvian Presidency, and debate the incoming Luxembourg Presidency’s priorities during plenary.

-EU Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS): Parliament to vote on a reform to reduce the surplus of carbon credits available (Wednesday 8 July).

-On Thursday 9 July, MEPs will vote on the state of Europe’s current Copyright rules.
- 1.The European Parliament is the EU's law-making body. It is directly elected by EU voters every 5 years.
What does the Parliament do?
The Parliament has 3 main roles:
Legislative
- 2.Donald Tusk (1957) was van 1 december 2014 tot 1 december 2019 de vaste voorzitter van de Europese Raad. In november 2007-september 2014 was hij minister-president van Polen. Tusk was medeoprichter en leider van het conservatief-liberale (maar bij de christendemocratische Europese Volkspartij aangesloten) Burgerplatformum. Hij leidde als premier een coalitie van zijn partij en de Poolse Boerenpartij (PSL). Eerder was hij lid van het Lagerhuis en van de Senaat.
- 3.Jean-Claude Juncker (1945) is the president of the European Commission. Juncker is a member of the Luxembourg party Christian Social People's Party (CVP), which is aligned with the European People's Party. Juncker server as prime minister of Luxembourg for nearly twenty years.
