“For 2016, I wish the EU would take clear decisions to combat the many crises which threaten us. This means bold decisions and effective enforcement both by the EU and its member states. Otherwise, the refugee crisis, Russian aggression in Eastern Europe, Islamic State in the Middle East and Maghreb, and the Greek failure to comply with the EMU and Schengen rules, cannot be contained let alone be mastered.”
