Committee on Emission Measurements in the Automotive Sector (EMIS)

This committee investigated in detail alleged contraventions and maladministration in relation to emission measurements in the automotive sector. During its twelve-month mandate this Committee made use of various methods to investigate the alleged failures: hearings with experts, invite witnesses, requests of documents and fact-finding missions.

At its final meeting, 28 February 2017, the committee voted on its final inquiry report and on a draft European Parliament recommendation for the Commission and the Council arising from the inquiry.
