Deze week werd het voorstel voor een gemeenschappelijke Europese winstbelasting gepresenteerd door Eurocommissaris Moscovici. Paul Tang was rapporteur vanuit het Europees Parlement.
Op de Ierse nieuwssite Independent wordt Paul Tang geciteerd, aangezien hij ook Ierland beschuldigt van belastingpiraterij: “I hope the larger countries like Germany and France will put the pressure on the smaller countries - countries like the Netherlands, Ireland, Malta, Luxembourg that are the pirates within the European Union.”
