    The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) is tasked with ensuring all EU institutions uphold all rules and regulations with regard to the protection of personal information of individuals when such data is processed by the EU institutions. The EDPS advises and works closely with the data protection officers in the EU institutions to make sure personal data is handled with the appropriate care.
